I move part of the wood pile yesterday, and found these two hanging out. The one on the right moved away pretty quickly. We always find salamanders under piles or pieces of wood, especially at this time of year. Sophia took a sniff and moved on to more rewarding smells.
I wonder what he(?) was thinking. He kept staring, as the other took off. Both were gone a few minutes later to better cover.
